The Thaw
The crew of the Voyager answer an automated distress call from some survivors of a planetary disaster. The survivors however, are refusing to come out of stasis and two of them have died, apparently of fright. Kim and Torres investigate and come face to face with fear. Tuvix The transporter suffers interference from an alien plant, resulting in the amalgamation of the tall, dark and logical Tuvok and the short, ebullient Neelix. The resulting character endears himself to captain and crew. When the doctor discovers how to reverse the process, they are faced with a dilemma.
